Why do people practise yoga?

The truth is that the practice of yoga is not about changing the brain, body, headstands, or even about gaining greater happiness and joy. If it were, it'd be just like taking a spinning class or doing a set of lunges at the gym. Yoga aims toward transcendence of all those things. In a culture in which we rush from one day to the next, yoga opens up the possibility of connecting to what we already have -- to who we already are. 

Yoga is a holistic approach to well being. It has physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions. Sage Patanjali who compiled the first yoga philosophy defines yoga as an ability to control one's own random thoughts and achieve a stillness, a calmness that creates inner harmony.

Yoga has helped me and many clients regain connection with our internal self. This noticing and befriending sensations in our bodies leads to both change, healing and so much more.

Yoga is about removing any judgment and letting us be present to who we are now

We offer yoga classes to build strength in your body and mind. Yoga is a way to find peace within but at the same time invigorating and energising the body. 

Ultimately yoga helps us deal with life stresses more positively and encourage healthier life choices. My teaching is led by the needs and requests of my students in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Give it a try and experience it’s amazing wellbeing benefits.

Taking care of ourselves is not only vital to how we feel but how we show up in the world for others.

Yoga has given me extra boosts of energy and confidence on my happiest days. Yoga kept me balanced when I needed it. It has created headspace for me like nothing else ever has. It allows me to start each day with a really positive, calm, open mindset and this is something I really love to share with you all!
