Green smoothie bowl

The way how I started my health journey was incorporating a green smoothie into my day and most of the time it was for breakfast. The greens really give me the feeling of cleansing and at the same time it gives me a boost of energy. It's a perfect way to alkalize your body and experience less bloating and more energy! 

 

A lot of pain in the body is brought about by inflammation. Inflammation can be caused by many things, one of which is high acidity. So reducing this acidity by consuming alkalising foods is a great help. 

serving: one glass jar

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: none

 

Ingredients: 

- 1 pear

- 1 frozen banana, sliced

- 1 hand of spinach

- 1 tablespoon Maca powder

- 1 tablespoon chia seeds

- 1 tablespoon almond butter

- 1/2 cup coconut water

 

Put the pear and banana at the bottom of the blender, and put the spinach on top. Add the other ingredients and blend for 30 seconds. 

Pour the smoothie into a bowl and start playing around with the toppings. 

Here I love to use goji berries as this makes the smoothie so colourful. Add sprouted sunflower and pumpkin seeds, crushed almonds and cubes of your favourite fresh fruit. It's a gift for the eye... Enjoy xxx - made with love
